The Electro-Harmonix Electric Mistress is one of the most legendary modulation effects and is the first flanger/chorus pedal of its kind. The analog design with BBD (Bucket Brigade Device) chips produces warm, organic modulations—from subtle, choir-like movements to intense, jet-like flanger effects.
A key feature is its ability to freeze the flanger oscillation, creating a synth or sitar-like sound. Early versions, such as this original from 1978, are known for their incomparably smooth and musical sound, which was rarely achieved in later reissues.
