The latest coup from Eric Johnson’s pen. His well-known Artist model has now been joined by a Thinline version. The lightweight (2.9kg) convinced us in terms of resonance, sustain and playability.
Eric Johnson, known as Gearhead, tailored his Stratocaster model with some unique features:
– Extremely flat 12″ fingerboard radius
– Soft V neck
– Nitro Lacquer
– The staggerd tuners and the lowered head plate increase the pressure of the strings on the upper saddle.
– By dispensing with the tailpiece, the high E and B strings remain elastic to bend.
