For decades, the Les Paul Custom was almost exclusively available from the Custom Shop. To mark the 50th anniversary of the Gibson factory in Nashville, Gibson is finally bringing the legendary 1970s specification back into the regular US series.
The sound of a generation: In the 70s, the Custom was the first choice for anyone who needed a powerful sound with attitude. Whether it was the razor-sharp rock of Randy Rhoads, the extravagance of Frank Zappa, or the hard rock of Ace Frehley—this guitar made music history.

• The combination of a mahogany body and a 3-piece maple top provides legendary attack and endless sustain.
• The maple neck with its typical 70s profile is very comfortable. The distinctive volute at the transition to the headstock not only ensures an authentic look, but also maximum stability.
• A luxurious look with ebony fingerboard featuring mother-of-pearl block inlays and the famous “split diamond” inlay on the headstock.
• Pure vintage vibe: With authentic Witch Hat buttons, Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge, and Posi-Lok strap pins.
• Two calibrated T-type humbuckers deliver the right sound. They are hand-wired and equipped with high-quality Orange Drop capacitors.
