Guild DE400 Duane Eddy Blonde 1967

SKU: 17910

The Guild Duane Eddy DE 400 from the 1960s is a rare flagship model that was developed as the signature guitar for the “King of Twang” Duane Eddy and is now one of the most sought-after vintage Guilds. This model in natural finish has a 17″ hollow-body archtop construction with a spruce top and maple back and sides. The three-piece mahogany neck with a maple strip offers a comfortable medium C profile and a rosewood fingerboard with high-quality block inlays.
The original Guild humbuckers deliver a balanced, clearly defined tone with characteristic twang, while the Guild/Bigsby vibrato provides classic modulation effects. High-quality features include Grover Rotomatic tuners, an adjustable metal bridge, chrome hardware, and elaborate multi-ply bindings all over the instrument.
This DE-400 is in exceptionally well-kept, completely original condition with only slight signs of wear; even the frets and bindings are remarkably clean. It showcases everything that makes vintage Guild’s exceptional. The guitar comes included with a non-original, almost perfectly fitting vintage case from Selmer.
