The new OVERGRAIN was developed with the goal of capturing the imperfections and unpredictability of analog circuitry. OVERGRAIN gives you the feeling that your amp’s power amp is cranked up harder: the sound becomes more compressed, more saturated, and the harmonics are emphasized. At the heart of the OVERGRAIN is a deliberately simple, fully analog circuit. The first stage consists of a single high-gain germanium transistor, which amplifies the signal. The second stage features a silicon transistor that provides additional focus and harmonic coloration. Combined with Finnish polyester film capacitors from the 1980s and WIMA capacitors, it is the ultimate sound enhancer for your rig.
