This guitar is a homage to the origin of Martin guitars. Christian Friedrich Martin, founder of Martin Guitars, began his apprenticeship in 1811 with the renowned violin maker Johann Georg Stauffer in Vienna. When Martin emigrated to America, he began to build his own instruments based on Stauffer’s model, ushering in a New Era of American guitar making.
To the 175th For the 50th anniversary of the Martin company, 50 instruments have now been built in the style of the Stauffer instruments.
