Early 1960s Les Paul standards are basically 1959 models with the same beefy neck profile, thin sunburst finish and, as in the rare case of the “Chicken Shack Burst”, an insane flame top.
The Collectors Choice #38 is a faithful replica of the original 1960 Les Paul Standard with serial number #0 0205 which is featured in the book “The beauty of the burst”.
Gibson manufactures this Les Paul in heavily lilted quantities from top selected woods.
