Fender Stratocaster ’57 2-Tone Sunburst Closet Classic Masterbuilt Dennis Galuszka 2007
SKU: 1201-1F16623A rarity from the Fender Custom Shop: To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1957 Stratocaster, Fender presented a limited series of 150 pieces of the ’57 Strat. Several of Fender’s master builders were commissioned to build these guitars, including Greg Fessler and Todd Krause. Our piece is made by Dennis Galuszka, who has been working as a master builder in the Fender Custom Shop since 1999. The guitar has authentic 1957 specs like a Soft V neck profile, alder body, one-piece maple neck and a 3-way pickup switch.
Originally this series was called “George Fullerton 50th Anniversary 1957 Stratocaster Guitar/Amp Set”. The amp seems to have left the guitar at some point.
The guitar comes including the original case and two certificates, one signed by master builder Dennis Galuszka and one with the original signature of George Fullerton. The latter designed and built the first Fender amps and guitars together with Leo Fender in the late 1940s and wrote modern music history with these designs!
