The ES-165 Herb Ellis is based on the Gibson ES-175 preferred by Ellis. Like the original from 1953, the ES-165 features a 16″ full hollow body, a maple layered and arched top with 24-3/4″ scale length. For his signature model, Herb Ellis chose a single floating humbucker in the neck position and a single volume control.
Here we have a copy from 2003 in very well maintained condition and particularly beautiful grained maple top. Includes the original case and pro-setup.
