Built between 1980 and 1982, the Heritage Series Standard-80 was the first model since 1960 to feature a bookmatched figured maple top and one-piece mahogany body, finished in an authentic cherry sunburst. Finally, Gibson delivered a Les Paul that reminiscent of the legendary “Burst” models from 1958 to 1960.
