Back to the roots: The Refresh 2025 OM-28 once again features the neck profile, bridge shape, angled nut, and characteristic bracing pattern of the legendary guitars from Martin’s golden era from late 1920s to 1942.

The Martin OM-28 has been one of the most popular models in the Martin catalog since the 1930s and is one of the best-known and most versatile acoustic guitars ever made. The slim 000 body combines comfort and style. The OM-28 excels at both fingerstyle and flatpicking thanks to its balanced blend of deep bass, midrange clarity, and brilliant highs.
The body is made of a solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides. The Golden Era X-bracing delivers a sound that feels instantly familiar, with long sustain and a resonant feel. The “Golden Era”-inspired neck profile and thinner fingerboard with slightly beveled edges offer comfortable playability. The 25.4-inch scale length (slightly more than 2 cm longer than a 000) provides more string tension, a more direct response, and a piano-like tone. The OM-28 is topped off with an ebony fingerboard, bone saddle and pins, herringbone bindings, the classic Style 28 rosette, and nickel tuners.
