A stunning vintage original Gibson ES-175 Dual in Sunburst made in 1955. This ES is from the last years in which Gibson still used the P-90 single coil pickup. From 1957 the ES-175 was delivered with the newly developed humbucker pickup.
This ES-175 is thus a true contemporary witness of Gibson’s most innovative era.
A crack at the base of the neck was repaired a long time ago. Knobs, tailpiece and tuner are repros. The original pickups sound fantastic. The original nitro finish has aged into a terrific caramel-colored “Tobacco” Burst and has beautiful weather-checking all over the body.
