The Gibson J-45 has been the industry standard in studios and on stages around the world since 1942. The top is still made of solid Sitka spruce. The sides and back are of course made of solid mahogany. In 2020, the J-45 gets a modern upgrade with the L. R. Baggs Element pickup system.
