The Authentic series focuses on the golden age of the traditional guitar manufacturer, Martin. In order to achieve not only the sound but also the feel and look of a 1930s D-28, 50 selected instruments have been gaged in detail. Thanks to a rediscovered lacquer formula, the nitro finish is applied ultra-thin. Combined with the high quality woods and wonderful workmanship, this D-28 produces unparalleled resonance, tremendous volume and the greatest possible dynamics.
