The Runesson Parlor is built in the style used on guitars from the 1800`s- early 1900`s. The main difference that this one is built for light steel strings instead of gut strings. It has a soundboard made from Swiss alpine spruce and the back and sides are made from highly flamed Swiss alpine maple. The neck is made from „ebonized“ mahogany and the guitar has an ebony fingerboard and bridge. It is bound with rosewood and has violin purfling. The guitar has a beautiful and truly hand-made mother-of-pearl inlay around the sound hole and on the fretboard. It features a special ladder bracing, which together with the rest of the construction gives it a very distinct and well balanced, open sound with impressive bass, that you would normally expect from a much bigger instrument.Thia all adds up to make this guitar quiet a versatile little sweetie! The glue used on this guitar is hot hide glue and it is finished with shellac. It also features an easily adjustable neck-angle for fast and exact setting of the action with the use of just an allen/hex key.
