Martin 000-Custom 12 Fret

A custom-made guitar from the Martin Custom Shop. This 000-Custom with neck transition at the 12th fret has a slightly longer scale length of 25.4“ instead of the usual 24.9”. The string tension is tighter due to the longer scale length. This results in a fast response, piano-like sound and great volume. The top is made of classic North American Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made of East Indian rosewood. The long scale length combined with the rosewood back gives this 000 a particularly clear and open sound which is especially delightful when playing fingerstyle.

The ultra-thin, satin-finished nitro lacquer allows plenty of resonance and is very comfortable to play. True to the motto “Golden Age of Martin Guitars”, this 00 was set with “Vintage Hide Glue”. Martin has been using this natural glue since the beginning in 1833. The positive sound characteristics and long-lasting performance still make this glue the best choice for building a high-quality guitar today.
